In 1790 No. 11 Russell Street, Covent Garden and the shop on the corner were taken over by Thomas Harrison, who was already in occupation of the upper part of No. 1 and of No. 2 Little Piazza, which he had acquired in 1781. Under his ownership the three houses were known as the New Hummums Coffee House (or Tavern) and Hotel. |
