Note
|
26 Oct 1619 Christopher Blackett, son of Parcivale Blackett surrendered to Christopher Henderson and Christopher Blackett 3 acres of land in South Bedburne. 11 Jan 1664/5 bargain and sale by Christofer Blackett of Howle Eele, yeoman, to Edward Blackett of Newcastle, merchant, with livery of seisin endorsed, of Howle Eele, a farmhold at Bedburn, Hamsterley. Consideration £105. 16 Sep 1669 bargain and sale by Christopher Blackett of Hoppyland, Hamsterley, gentleman, to Christopher Blackett of Snapegate, Hamsterley, yeoman, of all tithes at Howle Eele in South Bedburn, Hamsterley. Consideration £5. 23 Sep 1670 admittance of Christopher Blackett to 1 acre of waste in Bedburn. 7 Jul 1688 bargain and sale by William Blackett of Hoppyland, gentleman, to Christopher Blackett of Windy Banke, yeoman and John Gibson [his son-in-law] of Hole Eele, of the corn and grain tithes at Snapegate and Hole Eele. Consideration £1 18s. It seems clear that he is Christopher of Snapegate, yeoman and not Christopher of Hoppyland. Jane (Elizabeth?) Gibson, his daughter, was his heir. |
