Burnt House Plantation conveyed to Stephen Blackett 1779.
Barbados Will dated 6 Mar 1812 mentions mother, Mary, "relative" Susanna Sandiford, "relation and brother-in-law" John Blackett of Hilton Hall, Westmd., (residuary legatee), "relation" Stephen Blackett Dowich, son of William and Ann Dowich, uncle Benjamin Blackett. Also mentions friends and his slave John, Burnt House. (Burnt House was the name of the Blackett plantation in St. Andrew.)
Barbados Mercury reports sale of Burnt House Plantation by Executors of Stephen Blackett in Dec 1812 and three houses in Speightstown in Dec 1814.
