Mentioned in his father's Will 6 Nov 1627. Probably the George Blackett whose land "at Bedburn Park" bounded a plot of land sold by William Taylor 23 June 1655. William Blackett was one of the witnesses to the agreement. Hearth Tax Roll 1666. George Blackett, Easington, Shotton, paying. Will bond 1691. Will dated 8 Apr 1690. George Blacket , yeoman of Fishburn in the county of Durham. Close called Wellburn Close "lying on ye north side of Hamsterley town" to daughter Jane Blackett for her life. If she dies unmarried her share to Robert Blackett (grandchild of testator). To son Christopher barn flatts and roods well close lying on the south side of Hamsterley.
