5th Bt. Twin brother of Mary. Some sources show dob as 1759. Will dated 13 Jun 1808. 1st codicil dated 14 Jul 1814, 2nd codicil 13 Oct 1816, 3rd, 4th & 5th dated 26 Oct 1816. Rents and profits from unsettled estates to wife, Mary Ann, for life. Lands at Thorpe, Surrey left to son John Charles Blackett. Lands in Yorks & Durham to son Henry Collingwood Blackett and his male heirs, in the absence of which (which subsequently occurred) to his eldest son Edward Blackett and his male heirs. Will proved by his widow, Mary Anne and Benjamin Keene the elder. Probate dated 20 Feb 1817.
Mentioned as of Portman Square in 1815 as a donor to the Refuge for the destitute, Middlesex House, Hackney.
Said to have caught a chill while driving in his curricle from Thorpe to London to buy a house for his sister Mrs. Scott, and not changing his wet clothes. Taken by his wife's parents, the Keenes, to their home at Westhoe Lodge, Cambridge, where he died.
